CBS is doing something special for “Ghost Whisperer” fans.

Not only did the network create an online companion series — the third season of “Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side III” is now showing on www.cbs.com/ghost — but fans can play an interactive game for a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles and a tour of the “Ghost Whisperer” set.

From now until April 27, fans can watch eight new “Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side III” webisodes (a new one premieres every Friday) and interact with a special on-line game. As each webisode ends, the video player disappears and immerses the viewer into an interactive world where they assume the identity of Marc (Justin Baker) as he experiences the spirit world first hand.

CBS created the companion series in direct response to thousands of emails from people asking, “What’s it like to be a ghost?” For more details on the interactive game, which is an extra added bonus, go to www.cbs.com/ghostwhisperer.

There’s a preview with Hilary Duff for the new episode that airs Friday, April 10.

Jennifer Love Hewitt can raise someone’s spirits – whether they’re the troubled dead people on her show Ghost Whisperer or her real-life ailing boyfriend.

Jamie Kennedy, 38, who earlier this month revealed that he’s dating and in love with his costar, 30, was vacationing with Hewitt Tuesday in Mexico when he started feeling very sick with kidney stones, a source close to Kennedy tells PEOPLE. The two flew back to Los Angeles Wednesday morning and Jamie went straight to the hospital.

“He had comedy shows scheduled in Boston, but he canceled them because of his kidney stones,” says the source. “He felt better later in the day and went home, but on Thursday he started hurting again and he went back to the hospital.”

It was unclear exactly when and how the problem resolved, but the source says Kennedy is “on the mend” with Hewitt by his side – and he’s looking forward to returning to work.

“He’s just home and feeling better,” the source says.

By the laws of television physics, “Ghost Whisperer” never should have worked for CBS. It’s a supernatural fantasy drama on a network known for its true-grit forensic procedurals. It revolves entirely around a young female lead, Jennifer Love Hewitt, in contrast to the rest of the Eye’s roster of rugged male stars. And from the start, the show was scheduled in a low-visibility Friday night timeslot.

But as “Whisperer” nears the end of its fourth season, the show continues to defy gravity. Total viewership is up 28% from last season, to an average of 11 million viewers per week, and the show has won its 8 p.m. hour every week this season. More impressively, the skein has hit series highs this season in the most elusive demos for CBS, adults 18-34 (up 20%), women 18-34 (up 26%) and women 18-49 (up 27%).
